Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently asked questions about the types of content and writing services I provide.

What types of content can you create for my business?

I'm capable of creating many different types of written content, including:

  Case Studies
  Articles
  E-Books
  Blog Posts
  Website Copy
  Wiki Pages
  Glossary Pages
  Landing Pages
  Product Overview Sheets
  White Papers (Modern)

What topics do you write about?

I specialize in creating thought leadership content involving advanced technologies, including:

  APIs
  Artificial Intelligence
  Machine Learning
  Deep Learning
  Natural Language Processing
  Computer Vision

What industries have you written about?

I've covered technical topics in a wide range of industries, including:

  API Management
  Fraud Prevention
  Web Data
  Artificial Intelligence
  Martech
  E-Commerce

Do you pitch topic ideas to clients?

Companies often contact me about writing content for a blog or a resources section of a website. I'm happy to pitch topic ideas once a writer agreement is in place. For example, an agreement to write a number of blog posts each month.

Marketing managers plan content in different ways - some marketing managers ask that I write the content and also come up with topic ideas for content. Some provide topics along with brief outlines for the content I'm to write. Many clients prefer a collaborative approach where sometimes the marketing team provides topic ideas and sometimes I provide ideas for the content.

Let me know your preferences when it comes to coming up with topic ideas for content. I'd be happy to accommodate your preferences.

Are there any types of writing services that you do not offer?

While I'm capable of creating almost any type of technical content, there are a few types that I typically do not create such as:

Web Development Tutorials / Content Involving Coding
  User Manuals / Product Documentation
  API / Developer Documentation
  Traditonal Analyst White Papers

Do you provide professional graphic design services for the content you write?

No, I'm not a graphic designer. Clients interested in creating nicely designed e-books, white papers, or case studies from content I've written would need to hire a professional graphic designer.

Do you personally write the content for each project you take on?

Yes. I personally research, write, proofread, and edit all of the content I create for clients. Few writers specialize in creating thought leadership content involving advanced technologies, such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, natural language processing, and APIs. So, outsourcing this type of work is difficult to do.

Do you use AI to write content?

I personally write every piece of content. I do not use AI for writing. However, I do use AI-powered tools such as Wordtune for error checking - e.g., grammar, spelling, syntax, and punctuation. I also use large language models (LLMs) such as ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Gemini for limited research purposes.

Will you ghostwrite for us or do you always require a byline?

While it's always great to receive a byline for content I've written, a byline is not always necessary. I'm happy to ghostwrite for clients.

Do you offer retainer agreements to clients?

No, I do not offer clients retainer agreements in the traditional sense (where I'm paid to reserve my time). I do offer agreements where I'll complete a certain amount of content per month or on an "as needed" basis over a period of time.

Can clients repurpose the content that you provide them?

Yes. I encourage clients to repurpose content for other marketing materials, such as as e-books, infographics, and blog post series.

Content can also be distributed on multiple channels such as a company blog and LinkedIn.
